One of the earliest songsters we have ever handled. Has been folded in the past. Printing is still sharp and the words are quiet funny although I think we may all miss some of the more subtle humor of the day. About 12” x 10” with reverse blank. A literal one page sheet music document. Early sheet music such as this are practically non-existent. We could not find any other examples for Andrew Jackson. Clearly a document made for the Congressional Elections of 1834 and where other objects were made, but we have not encountered sheet music before for this election. We just do not know if this is one of only a few surviving examples. Typical rag paper of the time and pressed printing as expected. Estimate: $300-500
