About 1” x 7/8” encased within a fancy stamped brass frame with open back. The reverse still has its original T shaped pin and that is in working order. Likely about circa 1832 for the first centennial of Washington’s birth where celebrations where held across the relatively new country. These are tough to find in excellent condition with most have cracks and chips. This example is in great shape and is one of the best examples we have seen in this design. Although a known artifact these surface very infrequently. A finer example may not come to market in a long time. Estimate: $1,500-2,000
